Eligibility Criteria for Laptop Scheme

  • Top Academic Performers: Students who excel in Matriculation and Intermediate (F.Sc) exams will be prioritized.
  • University and College Students: A total of 34,000 students will benefit, including 20,000 from universities and 14,000 from colleges.
  • Field-Specific Benefits: Students from fields like Computer Science, Medicine, Engineering, and Agriculture will be given preference.
  • Regional Allocation: About 32% of laptops will be distributed in Southern Punjab to ensure regional equity.
  • Support for Minorities: Special allocations have been made for 2,000 students from minority communities.

Program Timeline

  • First Phase: 5,000 laptops will be distributed within the first 30 days.
  • Completion Target: The program aims to distribute 35,000 laptops by February 20, ensuring all eligible students receive their devices promptly.

Merit Scholarships for Female Students

In addition to laptops, the Chief Minister has launched a scholarship program specifically for female students, aiming to remove financial barriers to education.

Key Highlights of the Scholarship Program

  • Tuition Coverage: Scholarships will cover the full tuition fees for 18,000 female students for a duration of four to five years.
